Mahmudullah Riyad and Marshall Ayub hit hundreds in a thumping win against CCS. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club put up 290-5 on board, in reply to which Cricket Coaching School was all out for 200 only.

Being invited to bat first, Abdullah Al Mamun and Mahbubul Karim gave their side a speedy start. But they could not continue with their flow and both were dismissed inside the first 6 overs. Their dismissal brought in marshall Ayub and Mahmudullah Riyad in the center and then the match saw the season’s first 200-run stand.

Marshall Ayub was rather reluctant to go aerial, while Mahmudullah floated the ball in the air five times. Yet, both batted very much sensibly, and picked up their centuries eventually. Marshall Ayub was out for 103 and the score was 237-3 on board then. When Mahmudullah exited, the score was 281 and 8 deliveries were left for the innings.

Mahmudullah exited after playing a brilliant hand, scored 130, with 8 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. Mehrab Hossain picked up 3 wickets for his side, while Saleh Ahmed Shawon Gazi picked up the first 2 of Sheikh Jamal.

The start of the chase was good for Cricket Coaching School, 60 on board in the first wicket. Pinak departed for 24, but Saif stayed in before falling down for 47. Rajin Saleh came down early and tried holding the innings well, could not do it till the end. He picked up his fifty though, but the rest of the side failed to contribute the much needed to be done.

Shafiul, Muktar and Mendis took 2 wickets each in restricting CCS for 200 only and picking up the 90-run win. Shohag Gazi and Marshall Ayub had one each, the other two were run outs. Sheikh Jamal skipper Mahmudullah Riyad was the Player of the Match for his brilliant century.
